It's astonishing to so many, yet for this raw vegan—mostly fruitarian—Winter wins as my absolute favorite season.

Winter whispers, citrus season is here! And for me, above all, it means Cara Caras have arrived. Oh, how I adore them! The moment my knife cuts through their radiant skin, a bright burst of citrus perfume dances into the air, awakening my senses. Inside, the flesh glows a flirty ruby-orange, a hue so enchanting it steals my gaze. It's like unwrapping a tiny, secret gift—only to discover the most exquisite citrus jewels, glistening with ruby light, each juicy drop holding the sweetest nectar.

My favorite way to enjoy them is simply peel and enjoy nature's little package. I never juice them, it would be like receiving a precious gem stripped of its velvet box and darling bow.
